Don't Forget...

Don't Forget...
No School on Monday!

Have a great holiday weekend!

On our Morning Message, we put a sticker next to all the upper case letters.
We discussed the differences between upper case (capital) and lower case letters
and how to tell them apart.
We did an AMAZING job!

We practiced writing using our Inventive Spelling.
We wrote down items that we would use to put
Humpty Dumpty back together again!

We circled pictures in our fish bowl of items that begin with the sound /f/!
We then dictated, to Mrs. Crain, how to spell the pictures using our Inventive Spelling.

We did a Fun and Fantastic Floating experiment with Mrs. Robeano!
Make sure to ask me what items floated and what items sank to the bottom!

10-6-11

We made a tally chart if we were 4 or 5!

We circled all the /f/ words in our 'Ff Cheer'!

Creation Station Fun!

We are learning the "Five Little Pumpkins" rhyme...
and to go along with learning this rhyme, we are making our own five little pumpkins!

Busy at the Bee Hive!

As part of our ABC book,
we drew our family for our /F/ page!

Zero the Hero, day 30!

We made LIGHTHOUSES!
What a fun activity Katie and her mom came up with!
Make sure to ask me where all the zeros are in our lighthouse!

We introduced our Writer's Workshop today!
We will be writing through-out the week and practicing both our drawing
and our inventive spelling skills.
By the end of the year,
we will have quite the collection
of writing samples that we will turn into
our very own books!

We will share these writing samples during conferences, but you will not see them
come home until the end of the year... but make sure
to ask me what I wrote about!
