Our last Zero the Hero!!!

It's Outdoor Week!
Today we read one of my favorite books, The Giving Tree. We talked about what it means to be a giving friend and created a giving tree with our ideas. We extended this reading into an outdoor Writer's Workshop and sketched some stories similarly to the illustrations from The Giving Tree.

We are in the process of making bleeding-tissue-paper butterflies!
We worked on a thank you card for Ms. King!
We are so thankful for her coming and talking to us about butterflies and moths!
We worked on a Venn Diagram with the differences between a moth and butterfly.

Visit from Ms. King
Ms. King, who used to work at the Franklin Park Conservatory, came to share
all her butterfly facts and materials with us!
