Pre-K Sound Box

Dear Pre-K Parents~


This week we will begin your child’s “Sound Box Bag”.  Each week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, your child should bring in between 1 and 5 items in a bag (that will be sent home on Tuesday) that begin with the “sound of the week”.  On these days, each child will have the opportunity to share/tell about his/her items.  The items your child brings on Thursday should be different from those brought in on Wednesday.


Keep in mind that we focus on the initial sound of a word.  For example, your child could bring in a phone when we study the /F/ sound or a knot when we study the /N/ sound.  


While your child may need some assistance, please let it be as much as possible his/her responsibility to find items to bring in for sound box.
